The following day, Suoh and Junpei reached home by daylight. It had snowed and the boys were frozen. As they entered the house, they found it to be empty.

"They must be looking for us." Suoh said before sneezing.

"Y-You're sick..." Junpei shivered as he got his brother to couch.

"We both are probably sick..." He sniffled before sneezing again. "Ugh..."

Junpei chuckled a bit as he got his brother onto the couch. He took the blankets from the hall closet and wrapped Suoh up. Junpei smiled as he sat down beside him, in his still damp clothes.

Suoh looked at him. "Go have a bath, Junpei..."

Junpei shook his head. "No, I have to take care of you."

"No you don't. You need to care of yourself. You do not want to get Yuuni sick, do you?"

"She'll understand." He shrugged and looked to his brother. "I'll be fine...As soon as Dads come back, I'll take a warm bath." He said.

Suoh smiled weakly. "Thanks..." He looked down at the floor. "I guess we'll have to go see Naomi today...”

"We don't have to..." He breathed. "I mean...We don't need to anymore, right?"

"I don't know... how long will this last...?" Suoh mumbled.

“The cold?" Junpei cocked an eyebrow.

"No, I mean... this. Us getting along."

"I promised you that I would always be there for you. I'm intending on keeping that promise." He breathed.

Suoh blushed as he looked at Junpei. "R-Really?"

He nodded. "Of course...I keep my word." He breathed.

He smiled. "Then... I guess we have no need to see Naomi..."

Junpei smiled back. "Yeah, that's what I thought too..." He nodded.

He smiled when the door of the house opened.

Junpei turned his head and waved as Takeshi and Yoshiki entered.

"Boys!" Yoshiki gasped.

"Hey, Dad..." Junpei scratched the back of his head.

"Where have you two been!? Yuuni brought us Suoh's note!" Yoshiki growled.

"It's...a long story...but everything is fine again..." Junpei told him.

Takeshi cocked an eyebrow. "Again? When was it fine in the first place?"

Junpei sighed. "Okay...well...it's better now." He said.

"How so?" Yoshiki sighed.

"Junpei and I... talked..." Suoh said as he stood up and moved to his brother's side. "I... do not believe we will fight anymore."

Junpei nodded. "Yeah...We won't fight anymore."

Takeshi came up behind Yoshiki and rubbed his back silently.

Yoshiki frowned. "How do we know that?"

Suoh moved to hug Junpei. "Could I have done this before?"

Junpei rubbed Suoh's back nicely as he smiled at his brother.

"Yoshi...I...I believe them. I don't think they're lying to us." Takeshi said.

Yoshiki sighed. "I hope this is real..."

Suoh let out a sneeze again as he pulled the blanket tight.

"Suoh is sick..." Junpei frowned.

Takeshi nodded. "Alright, let's get him to bed."

"I-I'm fine..." He sniffled.

Junpei shook his head. "No you're not...You're cold right down to the bone. You need new clothes and rest." He told him.

“So do you." He stated.

Yoshiki sighed. "We have two bathrooms. Both of you, just go warm up and get to bed..."

Takeshi nodded. "Listen to your father."

Junpei nodded and helped Suoh to his feet. "Come on...Let's get you warmed up."

Suoh nodded slowly as he followed his brother upstairs.

"Wow..." Yoshiki breathed.

"I know..." Takeshi nodded, still staring after their boys though they had completely left the living room.

"Takeshi Kasai." A voice appeared behind him.

Yoshiki whirled around. "Miraa... Zetomu..."

Takeshi blinked as he saw the gods. "Yeah...?"

"I..." Miraa shook her head. "I do not know how to tell you this.”

"Tell me what?" He asked, looking between the impassive faces of the gods.

"We need your help... but it will cause you pain..." Miraa said.

"Pain?" Takeshi shook his head. "If you wanted me in pain, you're a bit late on that..."

"I mean physical pain."

"Oh, well...I can handle physical pain..." Takeshi shrugged. "You want to chop off an arm or something?"

"Of course not... this involves your very soul." Miraa said,

He blinked. "Wait...my soul? Why do you need my soul?"

"It will greatly help not only your realm, but every realm. We need a part of your soul." Zetomu explained.

"Back off." Yoshiki growled, his eyes red. "You're not touching Takeshi. All you god's bring is suffering! It's better if you just stay out of mortal lives!"

Miraa sighed. "I understand how you feel Yoshiki--"

"No you don't! You guys can do anything you fucking want!"

Zetomu shook his head. "We do not have time for this. We need Takeshi to end all of this. It is still not done. A greater evil lurks in the shadows."

“You always say that! Just this one thing and it will be over, yet it's never over! Who let Fukai out in the first place?" Yoshiki snarled.

Miraa's eyes narrowed. "Yoshiki Kasai, I will not hesitate to take your blessed ability and throw it back at you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" He snarled.

Miraa narrowed her eyes as Yoshiki instantly froze and dropped to his knees.

"No! Yoshi!" Takeshi dropped to his knees beside him. "Yoshi, please! Please!" He looked to the gods. "Fix him! I'll do whatever it takes! Take my soul, I don't care!! Give him back!!"

"Father, you can't!" Suoh said as he rushed downstairs with damp hair after getting out of the shower.

"Suoh! Get back!" Takeshi snapped at him.

"Suoh!" Junpei had followed after him, also with damp hair. He quickly wrapped his arms around him.

"Junpei, take your brother and go! Get upstairs!" Takeshi ordered his eldest.

"No!" Suoh growled as he struggled against Junpei. "Leave them both alone, Miraa!"

Miraa sighed.

Junpei was conflicted. He, too, wanted to help his fathers, but Suoh was just as precious. He wanted things to be normal for once.

Takeshi looked to Miraa. "You want part of my soul? Take it." He growled. "Just leave my family alone."

"It's not quite that easy, Takeshi. Part of your soul was taken without your knowing by Fukai. I cannot take more. You will shatter." Miraa explained.

"Please, Junpei! Let me go!" Suoh cried

"Then why did you come here?!" He screamed.

"I must use your whole soul to lure the missing piece back, therefore destroying Fukai's puppet she made off of your existence." Miraa explained.

"Will you let Yoshiki go? Will you leave my family alone?" Takeshi asked her.

"Father!" Suoh cried.

"There are risks, Takeshi." Miraa said.

“What...kind of risks?" He asked.

"You might die."

“Are you giving me a choice?" Takeshi asked, narrowing his eyes at them.

"No." Zetomu answered.

"No!" Suoh screamed.

Miraa narrowed her eyes and snapped her fingers as Suoh dropped like a rock, unconscious.

"Suoh!" Junpei yelled, holding his brother against his chest.

"Suoh! Leave them alone!" Takeshi could feel tears sting his eyes. "I already said I'd do it! Give them back!"

"Come." Miraa offered her hand.

Takeshi took in a deep breath as he looked to Junpei. "Watch over them." He told him before taking the goddess's hand.

Miraa nodded as they disappeared.

Junpei quickly took Suoh over to Yoshiki and knelt down, holding both of them close to him. "Dad..." He breathed.

...

Fukai sighed as she played with Kisa's crystal. It wasn't exacting responding to her, but it wasn't worth throwing away, at least not yet.

“Fukai...is there anything that you need me to do?" Saru asked as he was sitting in the rafters of their hideout. He was sharpening his dagger, tapping his foot to a melody in his head.

“Not currently, though I do want your thoughts."

"My thoughts?" He looked to her, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes... why can't I make this crystal work? It turned black when I killed Kisa, but now it will not do anything."

“You don't think she's alive again, do you?" He questioned.

"I do not know... it is possible..." She sighed.

Saru shrugged. "I wouldn't put it pass them to revive the woman. Perhaps we should get rid of her permanently."

"How do we do that?" She blinked.

Saru smirked. "Destroy her soul."

"Using her son?"

Saru nodded. "That's her weakness. We'll use him and destroy her."

“You are so smart~" She smirked.

"Saru. I have grasp of your soul piece. Find a reason to leave Fukai's side if you want to live." Miraa spoke inside his head.

"Did you say something?" Saru asked Fukai, blinking as he looked around the room.

"I did not." Fukai blinked.

"Saru, get away from Fukai, now!"

"Ah!" He fell from the rafters from the sharp yelling in his head, crashing to the floor.

"Saru...?" Fukai stood. "Why did you fall?"

“Th-There's...something in my head...!" He gripped his head, squeezing his eyes together.

"In your head?" She knelt down beside him and caressed his cheek, closing her eyes. "Miraa... you will leave his head!" She snarled.

"Give us the crystal, or else I will kill Saru."

"Ha! The crystal is mine, you will not take Saru, and I have my next target!"

"Ah!" Saru yelled, gripping his head. "Get out! Get out!" He spasm a bit.

"Fukai..."

"Go ahead, take the soul piece~" She purred as she seemed to yank something from the air and throw it away.

"No!" Miraa screeched before her voice left his head.

Saru stopped screaming and let his hands fall from his head. He panted as his eyes fluttered, looking at Fukai. "What...happened...?" He asked.

"Miraa wanted to try and take you from me..." Fukai pouted.

Saru frowned. "I apologize...I didn't think that was possible."

"They must have had the man I gave you life from... but it doesn't matter, your attachment to him is gone."

Saru sat up and blinked. "That's...possible?"

"Mine is gone."

"I had no idea..." He shook his head. "Does that mean...the others could do the same?"

"What do you mean?" She blinked.

"The gods." Saru breathed. "If they figure that out...Do you think they'd be able to do it too?"

"No. They are not like you and I. They need that part to survive."

Saru nodded. "That's what I thought..." He breathed.

"Now we're we must find a new hideout.”

Saru nodded. "Can it be one with rafters?" He asked her, getting to his feet.

"Sure." She nodded. "But why?"

"I like the height." He shrugged. "It's comforting."

She smiled. "Well, if you want rafters, then we will make sure you have them."

Saru smiled and nodded before putting his hands behind his head, leaning back on them. "Good~ Then it'll be like home~"

She smiled as she brushed her tail across him before going to gather the few items she had.

Saru re-sheathed his daggers before following after Fukai. "Do you require assistance?" He asked her, coming up behind her.

"Not really." She looked at him and smiled. "Do you need anything before we leave?"

Saru shook his head. "I only have my daggers." He told her.

She sighed and nodded. "I don't even know where we will go this time yet... all that is definate is that the building will have rafters..."

Saru smiled. "We could go to the trees. A treehouse."

"A treehouse?" She blinked. "Where in the world do we create it?"

"A forest~" Saru laughed, running his hand through his hair.

She smiled. "You do follow your name sake, don't you?" She laughed softly at him. "My little monkey."

Saru grinned as he looked to her. "I am only yours after all~"

She smiled as she brushed her tail across him once again, her ears twitching upon her head. "That's right... you're mine..."

Saru nodded as he leaned back on his hands again, smiling. "Well, you gave me life after all. Who else could stand up to that?" He chuckled.

She looked away. "Any Goddess really... they are all quite lovely..."

Saru shrugged. "If you're into that polished look."

She looked at him. "You enjoy my tail and ears?"

"They're exotic~" He grinned.

She blushed faintly as the ears on her head flattened in her sudden embarrassment. "O-Oh?"

He nodded. "Yup...but that's me. I'm definitely not considered normal in my own standards." He shrugged.

She smiled. "Thank you... Saru..."

Saru nodded. "We only have each other, right? Who else would want us?"

She nodded as her arms wrapped around him, her tail curling as well. She had been with other demons like Shigure, but none of them were true lovers. Even now, could Saru be her lover? Could she love him? It didn't matter. He was all she had in her war against the God's.

Saru blinked a bit as this was the first for Fukai to be this close to him. She had been affectionate with touches and words, but she'd never wrapped herself around him before. "Fukai...? Mistress?"

She pulled away and smiled. "I apologise..."

Saru shook his head. "No...You do not need to apologize..." He breathed.

“Of course I do." She nodded.

"No...It is I who needs to apologize..."

She blinked. "Why you? I am the one who embraced you..."

"Yes, but it is I who had...disrespectful thoughts about you..." He said quietly, looking away from her as he blushed lightly.

Fukai blinked. "Disrespectful thoughts? You... you feel for me?" She asked. "I mean, as more than just your Master? The one who gave you life?"

Saru dropped to his knees and bowed his head. "I apologize, Mistress...I did not mean to act out of line." He breathed.

"It's not out of line, Saru."

He lifted his head. "It is not?"

She shook her head. "Even demons can love..."

“We can...?" He breathed.

She nodded. "Of course..."

"I thought...we were not allowed..." He breathed, casting his eyes down.

"If Miraa can love and have a child, so can we."

"We...?" Saru blinked.

She looked away. "Sorry..."

Saru shook his head. "I...I am simply confused...Do you feel for me as well, Mistress?"

She nodded. "You are my monkey." She smiled.

Saru stood up and went to her. He gently let his fingertips caress her cheek. "I am forever yours, Mistress..."

She looked at him and smiled. "And I yours, Saru."

Saru looked into her eyes before leaning in to kiss her deeply.

Her eyes fluttered closed as her tail swished happily.

Saru kissed her tenderly, still a bit hesitant for doing this without clear permission. However, she didn't pull away. He placed his hands on her hips as he held her closer to him.

She smiled, nipping his lips with her sharp teeth as she tugged his shirt.

He made a noise in the back of his throat as he dug his fingers into her hips. He pushed against her, causing her to fall back onto the bed.

She smiled up at him. Quickly she flipped them as she straddled his hips, pulling off her dress to reveal her naked form as her tail curled around her.

Saru let his hands caress her body as he looked at her. To him, she was beautiful. He would follow any order she would give him. She was his entire world.

"How about you show me what I monkey can do in bed~" she purred.

Saru smirked as he flipped them. "You won't be disappointed~" He purred as he leaned in to ravage her.
