Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 74Umesa smiled as she strolled through town. The day was bright and life was finally turning up for her. She was out selling some of her recent paintings that were turning into a more happy atmosphere. Her brother was getting better every day and rumours were already flying about them being together.
She smiled at the children of the village. She knew Zimura was out today following steps to take the clan from their father now that he had proved himself. She wondered if she'd bump into him in the village...
"And where do you think you're headed~?" Someone grabbed her wrist to spin her around.
She smirked as she looked up at the one who grabbed her. "I just finished selling my paintings~ What are you doing, dear brother?"
Zimura smirked as he brushed her hair back from her face. "I'm headed out for lunch~ Care to join me?"
She smiled softly. "I'd love to..." She breathed, slipping her wrist from his hold to lace their fingers together.
Zimura smiled as he squeezed her hand lightly and nodd
Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 72"Renyu~! Renyu~!" Yoshino sang as she came running to his room. "You won't believe what miracle I worked out with Pops~" She giggled.
He didn't pay her any mind. He stood in front of his window, staring up at the moon,
Yoshino blinked as she came into his room. "Ren?"
"What do you want, Yoshino?"
"Um..." She came up beside him. "I...talked with Pops..."
"He said he's gonna let you out of your punishment tomorrow..." She breathed. Yoshino couldn't help but to feel as if something was off. "Hey...are you alright?"
"No. I need it removed now. I must go somewhere..." He brushed passed her to the door.
"Now? Why now?" Yoshino blinked as she followed him.
"I have to go somewhere." He growled as he threw the door open and down the hall to Ace's room.
"H-Hey...! What happened?" She asked, still following him.
He pounded on Ace's door.
“Ren! What's so urgent that it can't wait until tomorrow?" She frowned.
"None of your business." He growled. "Ace!"
Yoshino frowned as she simply st
Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 71"Brother..." Karin frowned as she entered the room. "Can... I talk to you?"
Ace looked up from his desk. He'd been in his study with a few scrolls spread out. "Yeah...sure." He nodded.
"I'm... I'm scared." She frowned.
"Scared?" Ace blinked.
"I'm... I'm scared of my son..."
"You're scared of Renyu? Why?" Ace frowned.
"Because... I'm smaller than Natsumi... what if... if my own son..." she teared up. "With Homare's chakra in his veins... he's stronger than most!"
Ace frowned as he got up and went to hug her. "Karin...you're his mother. He loves you." He held her against his chest.
She whimpered. "But... he was such a good boy! I... I never thought..."
"Karin...he still is a good boy..." Ace said soothingly. "He just has a temper just like Homare. Just like all Kairaku. He'll learn to control it." He breathed.
"But..." she broke down in tears. "It's all my fault! I shouldn't have kept him! Aoki told him how he was born! I...I..." she cried.
"Karin...He was going to find out sooner or lat
Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 69"But Shigure you promised!" Koneko cried in frustration. Ever since the twins escaped, Koneko and Shigure's relationship had been unstable. All Koneko wanted from Shigure was his child, and he had been neglecting his promise.
“You still have two runaway offspring."
"They are yours and it's your fault that they ran away! I didn't want them! I want yours!" She yelled frustratingly.
"Control your voice." He growled.
"I didn't ask for anything for years! This is all I want!" Her tail swished violently.
"Koneko! Do not make me lock you up!"
Koneko winced but shook her head. "I don't care! Do whatever you want!"
"If you won't give me what I want, I won't do what you want!"
"You think not?"
"Yes. That's how it's going to work." She crossed her arms over her chest.
His eyes narrowed as a force sent her to her knees.
Koneko gasped as she fell forward.
Koneko gasped as she looked up at him.
“To your cell."
Koneko shook her head.
Koneko's ears tilted back
Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 67"Didn't we just get rid of you?" Suzu mumbled as she was looking through her charts while walking through the halls of her hospital. She was doing her rounds with Zach.
Ace smirked as he had caught up to his old friend. "I just love seeing that cheery face of yours, Suzu~" He winked at Zach. "So...how are my grandbabies doing~?"
"Those Neko's? They have been asking where you've been. They're ready to go home with you, Ace." Zach nodded.
Ace smiled wide. "That's what I wanted to hear~ I can't wait to bring them home...I think they'll fit in." He breathed.
"Well, you know where their room is. I can meet up with you there with the release papers."
Ace nodded. "Thanks, Zach~" He smirked before heading to the nekos' room. He hadn't seen the kittens in a day because of his own incident and babying Shiku with his alcohol.
When Ace entered the room, he heard giggling and walked in to see the girls jumping on the bed.
Miyoko gasped as she quickly stopped and sat on her bed. She covered her mout
Flourishing Kasai Clan - Chap 66"Ace, open your eyes."
Several hours had passed since Ace was admitted into the hospital. Shiku was still asleep outside in the waiting room.
Ace's eyes fluttered open at the sound of his name. He was aware of something over his face, helping him breathe, and stayed calm. He didn't want to panic with the machine.
"Ace, it's Oki. Can you look at me?"
Ace turned his head slightly to look at him.
"Hey... how you feeling?"
Ace grumbled a bit as he could feel the machine breathing for him.
"Suzu should be here soon."
Ace nodded, understanding him.
"Your son is sleeping in the waiting room. He's been a wreck."
Ace frowned. He had a feeling Shiku would be blaming himself.
Suzu came in then, smiling. "Well hello, handsome. I see you're awake."
"He's responsive too." Oki smiled.
Suzu smiled and nodded. "Good...Ace, we're going to take you off the respirator. Your lungs look stronger now."
Oki nodded he moved to take the mask off
Ace coughed a bit as he was breathing on his own. He took in
