The Experiment - Chap 7

"Mm... Kawa..." Feli stirred, her naked form pressed against his.

Kawa hugged her closer, snuggled beneath the blankets. He liked having her next to him. It was as if he was in his own world with only one other person who mattered. Feli meant everything to him. "Mm~"

"Kawa..." She giggled, rubbing her body up against his.

“Mm~ Don't make me punish you~" He purred, his eyes still closed.

"Oh no~ Don't punish me~"

"You'll leave me no choice~"

A knock came to the door.

"Wake up, Feli. Your father's want you." It was Tsuyoshi.

Kawa's eyes fluttered open as he gave a soft groan. "Ugh...I just want one peaceful morning..."

She sighed and sat up. "Mm..." She looked down at her stomach. She had gained weight. Did the Roozu have children fast like Nozomashii?

Kawa looked at her. "What's up?"

“Nothing..." She sighed, getting up to fetch her nightgown,

“Okay..." He breathed before getting up to put on his pajamas too.

After he was dressed, she moved downstairs.

Kawa took in a deep breath as he took Feli's hand. He hoped that there wouldn't be any yelling.

Ryo and Arai were waiting in the living room. Ryo seemed nervous looking as he fidgetted in his seat anxiously.

“If you guys are going to yell at us, I'm leaving." Feli breathed.

Arai pointed towards the kitchen doorway where Jyma sat.

"Mother..."

"Are you still wanting to see home?" Jyma smiled.

"Yes." Feli breathed.

Ryo closed his eyes, shaking his head. He was clenching his hands on his knees as he wouldn't sit still.

Jyma grinned. "Wonderful! Please go get your things~ We will leave this afternoon!"

“No...No no..." Ryo shook his head as he stood up. "I can't do this, Arai! I can't just let her leave me!"

Arai grabbed his wrist. "Think of it like she's going on a mission and will be home later."

Ryo shook his head, tears streaming down his cheeks. "But sh-she won't c-come home..."

"I think she will."

Ryo sobbed as he shook his head. "N-No she w-won't..."

"Stop it!" He hissed.

Ryo whimpered as he looked at his husband.

Arai pulled him back down.

"Daddy... I'm not leaving. I am going to visit." Feli breathed, moving to his side.

Ryo looked at her. "But...sh-she's your m-mother...that c-clan is your f-family...Y-You're a p-princess...What p-person wouldn't w-want to be r-royalty?"

"Kawa already makes me feel royal." Feli breathed.

Arai blinked, surprised.

"H-His only t-tie to this c-clan is you..." Ryo shook his head. "If you l-leave...you c-can still feel r-royal somewhere e-else..."

"Please, stop." Feli frowned. "I'm going to come back..."

Kawa took Feli's hand. "I promise to bring her back." He breathed.

"Please." Feli breathed.

Ryo whimpered. "I...I just...c-can't lose my b-baby..."

"You won't."

"P-Promise...?"

"Promise."

Ryo wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "Arai and I are your parents...No one else..."

"Jyma is my mother, Dad. But this is my home."

He shook his head. "No. I'm more of a mother than she is."

"Stop fighting with me." She frowned.

Ryo looked at her. "A mother is a title that is earned...I took care of you, I fed you, I clothed you...That woman is NOT your mother."

"Fine. She's not my mother..."

Ryo looked at her before looking away. "Just go...before I force you to stay..."

Feli frowned. "Come on, Kawa... let's pack..."

Kawa nodded as he took Feli's hand and headed upstairs.

“You're an ass, Ryo." Arai stated.

"Shut up." Ryo hissed.

"I'm serious. The way you're treating her about seeing her birth village is going to MAKE her not want to return."

Ryo got to his feet. "I'm not just going to let some vulture come in and swoop our daughter away! I'm the mother in her life! Not this stranger!"

"Ryo, shut up."

"No!" He yelled. "How dare she come for Feli after all these years! We're her parents! She just can't take her away from us!"

"I explained that." Jyma breathed. "Feli was stolen from me. I have been searching for her all these years... every village, every house. I just wanted my child... my princess." She frowned. "I did not come here to rip your family apart..."

"Well you are..." He breathed. "What else did you expect when you found her? It's been SIXTEEN fucking years!"

Jyma frowned.

"Ryo, enough." Setsuna breathed, entering the room with Natsumi tagging along

Ryo snapped his head at his sister. His usual blue-green eyes were now red from yelling.

"Ryo... imagine you had just adopted your girls again... someone came late in the night and snatched them while you slept. Would you give up on finding them?" She breathed.

Ryo's eyes immediately switched to purple. "But it didn't happen...They're still here...They're still mine." He breathed.

"But what I'm saying, is if it had happened, would you look for them, or give up?"

Ryo frowned. "Of course..." He said in a small voice.

"Then you shouldn't be so rude to Jyma. She was doing what any parent would."

"But she's not Feli's parent...I am." Ryo breathed.

“Birthright, Jyma is."

Ryo's eyes turned red again. "She's MY daughter."

Jyma frowned. "I think I will leave now. Feli doesn't need to see where she comes from..." She breathed, turning to leave.

"Ryosuke!" Arai and Setsuna hissed.

Ryo growled out of frustration. "Wait!"

Jyma frowned and turned back to look at him.

"I...want to make Feli happy..." Ryo breathed.

Jyma frowned. "I don't want to take her away if it means her life becomes miserable here."

Ryo looked at her. "You don't know what it's like...not being able to conceive a child of your own..."

"No... I don't." She breathed.

"And you don't know how hard it is...raising someone else's child..." Ryo closed his eyes.

"No... but I know what it's like having my child stolen and unable to raise her..."

Ryo frowned. "I'm sorry she was stolen from you...but she was given to us." He breathed.

"I know... that's why... I will leave."

"I told you to wait, dammit." Ryo growled. "I may not like you...but Feli wants to see this village of yours." He breathed. "You will show her the village and she will come back here. If she isn't back within two weeks, I will hunt you down and bring her back myself."

Jyma frowned but nodded.

Ryo took in a deep breath and rubbed his eyes. "I don't want to lose my daughter..."

Jyma nodded as Feli and Kawa came back downstairs.

Kawa smiled at Feli as he helped her with her bag. "We're all ready."

Jyma smiled. "Come on..."

"Feli..." Ryo moved to her. "I...want you to have fun...but don't forget about me...Please...Please come back..." Both his eyes turned blue.

"Yes, father..." She breathed.

Ryo wrapped his arms around her as he hugged her tightly. He kissed her head and buried his face in her hair. "I love you...so much..."

"I love you..." She breathed, frowning.

He stroked her hair a bit before reluctantly pulling away from her, tears in his eyes.

She moved back to take Kawa's hand before following after Jyma.

Kawa smiled as he held her hand. "So...how far away is the village?"

"A few days walk." Jyma smiled.

"Ah, that's not too bad." Kawa smiled.

“Nope." Jyma smiled. "I hope you two like it."

"I know we will." Feli smiled.

It took a few days, but when Feli reached home, she was amazed. Plants were everywhere. But they were not normal plants, they were huge! Even the buildings were made of vines and trees. It felt natural. As Jyma returned with Feli and Kawa at her side, men and woman flocked to their side, welcoming the princess and her prince home. Feli had blushed at that statement. She was soon whisked away to her castle. It was huge and like everything else, made of plants.

"Wow...this place looks like right out of a story book..." Kawa breathed, looking around.

"It's... incredible..." Feli breathed.

Jyma smiled. "This is where you were born, Feli."

"This is such a cool place to be born!" Kawa ran to the window, looking out at the village. "Wow! Look at this view!"

Feli smiled as she followed Kawa. "It's... amazing... and it's my birth home..."

Kawa looked at her. "You look like you belong here..."

She turned to look at him. "I... feel like I belong here..."

He smiled, taking her hand.

She smiled.

"So... how do you like it, Feli?" Jyma bit her lip.

"I... I love it..." Feli smiled.

"Well... as much as I want you to stay... your father's will hunt me down..." She frowned.

"Mother, what do we feel about mixing blood?"

"Nothing. Why, are you having a baby?" She smiled.

"Well..." She blushed. "I believe so..."

"Why don't you come see our doctor?" Jyma smiled.

Kawa blinked. "You're pregnant?"

She bit her lip. "I-I... think I might be..."

"We have babies quickly, like plants." Jyma smiled.

Kawa took in a deep breath. He was a bit nervous. They had no idea what he was and so he often thought about if this was the right time for a baby. Hell, they were still pretty young...but when he looked at Feli, he just knew she was the one. She was the only one for him.

Jyma smiled. "Come with me~ We can get you looked at, sweetie."

Feli took Kawa's hand.

Kawa nodded as he followed her. The entire village seemed so wonderful. Giant flowers loomed over the buildings, making it seem like they've shrunken down.

As they reached a large building, flowers formed a plus sign to represent the hospital. Jyma entered and asked for their best doctor before they were taken to a room to wait momentarily.

Kawa looked at Feli. "What do you think it'll be?"

"I... really want a daughter..."

Kawa smiled. "With pink hair?"

She blushed. "Maybe... Maybe I want a mini-me..."

Kawa chuckled. "I won't mind that...I just get to love you twice~"

She smiled.

"Hello." The doctor breathed as he entered the room. He had orange hair and bright blue eyes. There was something wild in his eyes.

"Ah, Dr. Naitu." Jyma smiled. "Glad you were free."

His eyes drifted to Kawa, a small smirk tugging at his lips.

Kawa shuddered when the doctor entered the room. Something tugged at the back of his mind. He squeezed Feli's hand lightly, keeping his eyes locked on the doctor.

"We think our princess is pregnant." Jyma breathed.

"Lie down, sweetheart." The doctor breathed.

Feli hesitated before doing so.

Kawa furrowed his brow. "Doctor...you're not a native here." He stated as if he knew it for a fact.

"No. I am not." He nodded.

Kawa tightened his hand around Feli's. He didn't feel good.

"Now, let's take a look at you. I ask that you two leave the room."

Feli's brow furrowed. "N-No... my boyfriend stays."

Kawa nodded. "I'm staying. This is my baby." He breathed.

"I need space." The doctor stated.

“I'm not leaving." Kawa stated.

“Fine, Jyma, may you leave?"

Jyma nodded, stepping from the room.

The doctor closed the door as he smirked, looking at Kawa. "Hello experiment number thirty-seven."

Kawa's eyes widened. "You!"

He grinned, snapping his fingers as Kawa fell to his knees, frozen. Feli gasped, sitting up. "Y-You're the doctor?!"

He grinned. "Don't you worry yourself~"

Kawa grunted as he felt helpless on the floor. "D-Don't...t-touch...h-her..." He breathed.

"I want to observe your child within her womb~"

"N-No! Don't t-touch her!" Kawa tried to fight to get up.

Feli whimpered.

"I-I'll kill you if y-you do!" Kawa growled.

"You can't." He smirked. I'm your master."

"Y-You're not my m-master...!"

"Try to break my commands then~"

Kawa's breathing started to increase as his eyes flickered between green and red.

The doctor smirked, placing his hands on Feli's stomach. She began to scream.

"Stop it!" Kawa screamed, managing to get into a sitting position. His eyes had turned completely red.

“Stop, experiment number thirty-seven."

"I'm not yours." Kawa hissed as he slowly pushed himself off the floor, crouching now.

"Yes you are."

Kawa shook his head. "My name is Kawa..."

“Actually, no. It isn’t."

"That's the name I gave myself." He breathed. "I know it's not my name."

"Want to know your real name~?"

“No."

"It was Baien Tadahashi~" The doctor smirked. "Your mother was a sweet and naive woman. As is everyone who comes to me~" He smirked, grabbing Feli's stomach and twisting as she let out a blood curdling scream.

"Leave her be!" Kawa screamed again.

Feli's eyes fluttered as she suddenly passed out.

Kawa managed to get to his feet, but he was panting heavily. There were nubs starting to form on his forehead as his eyes were bright red.

"Ah~ Ah~ Ah~ You don't want to change now~ Relax my little experiment~"

Kawa growled at him. "Step. Away."

The doctor smirked. "Relax~ I'm done with her now~"

"What did you do?!"

"Nothing you need to worry your pretty head~”

"THAT'S MY BABY!" He screamed.

"What baby~?" He snickered.

Kawa's eyes widened. "What. Did. You. Do?!"

“Nothing~ Now calm down before you make a scene~"

"You stole my baby! Give it back!" Kawa screamed.

“I did you a favor~ The baby would have killed Feli~

Kawa shook his head. "No...No..."

"Or maybe I'm lying~" He purred, moving to circle Kawa. "You turned into a handsome man. Almost as if you were my own son. Shame that those pesky friends of the Kasai fixed your head, and they got to my wolves too~ Naughty naughty~"

Kawa growled at him. "What the hell did you do?! Tell me!"

"Honestly, I'm trying to find new experiments~"

"You ruined my life." Kawa growled. "I killed my family because of you!"

"That is true, but you're not the only life I've ruined~ I've been around for a long time~"

“How many of us are there? If I'm thirty-seven...how many lives have you ruined?!"

He chuckled. "Depends how far back you want to go~"

Kawa's eyes widened. "How many...are still alive?"

"You're asking too many questions, boy~"

Kawa growled. "Just answer them."

"Well... you're thirty-seven of this era. That help?" He grinned. "I'm immortal~"

Kawa shook his head. "You sound like that Orochimaru over a hundred years ago..." He breathed.

Kawa blinked. "What do you mean?"

"Sorry~ But that's a conversation left for our next meeting~"

Kawa growled. "You're not getting away with this!"

"Watch m--"

 

"Kawa!" Shiku growled as he threw open the doors with Ace behind him. Finally they had tracked the doctor after two weeks.

"Shiku," Kawa looked over at him.

"Get him!" Ace formed hand seals as goo shot out towards the doctor.

Shiku growled as he shot the goo at the man, but as it hit, he faded to dust. "Dammit!" Shiku hissed. "Kawa, are you alright? Is Feli?" He breathed.

Kawa's breathing was still fast and he shook his head. "I...I don't know..." He looked to her.

"Dad, check Feli..." He breathed, moving to inspect Kawa. Thankfully his eyes were no longer red.

Ace nodded. He wasn't a medic, but he did check for a pulse. Thankfully, Feli had a pulse and was breathing softly. "She's alive...Let's get her back to Suzu..."

Shiku nodded.

"Wait!" Jyma breathed as she rushed in. "What's... going on?"

Kawa looked to Jyma. "That doctor...is a bad man. He did something to me years ago...and now he's done something to Feli."

She gasped, tears in her eyes. "Oh this is my fault!"

Ace shook his head. "Jyma-san, don't blame yourself. You couldn't have known."

"B-But... my daughter..." She whimpered. "I-I shouldn't have brought her here!"

"You didn't know, Jyma-san..." Ace told her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay...We're going to take her home and have her looked at by one of our best specialists."

She whimpered and nodded. "T-Take her..."

Kawa frowned. "We'll come back...We were only here for a small time...I know Feli still wants to see the village." He breathed.

She sniffled and nodded. "I-I'm so sorry..."

Kawa shook his head. "It's okay..."

"We have to go, Kawa..." Shiku breathed.

Kawa nodded. "Right...We'll be back, Jyma..." He breathed, scooping Feli into his arms.

...

"She seems fine to me." Oki said.

"But... there has to be a reason why she's out cold.." Shiku breathed.

"I see no reason." Oki breathed.

"But something was done to her!" Kawa breathed. "She screamed out in pain!"

"Please, don't yell." Oki frowned. "I will examine her further, but tests are coming up negative."

Kawa shook his head as he held onto Feli's hand. "I couldn't do anything...I couldn't stop him..." He placed his head on Feli's stomach.

A kick came from Feli's stomach, hitting Kawa's ear.

Kawa blinked as he pulled his head back.

"Something wrong?" Oki asked.

"There was a kick..." Kawa breathed.

"Is she pregnant?" Oki asked, his hands going to examine her stomach.

Kawa nodded. "Yeah...but...he said the baby was gone..." He whispered to himself.

"There's a baby here, Kawa." Oki smiled. "Seems healthy too."

"Really?" Kawa smiled, relieved.

Oki nodded. "Though..." His face twisted in confusion. "I think she's nearly ready to have this baby."

"What? Kawa hasn't been with her very long... and she's not very big." Shiku stated.

"After Jyma showed up, I looked up on Feli's birth clan. They have... strange births. Think of their bodies... like plants."

Kawa blinked. "So...I don't understand...She's going to have the baby? Now?"

"Within a few hours."

Kawa looked to Feli. "But she's not awake..."

"I know. I may have to perform a C-section..."

“But...she has to wake up." He looked to him. "Feli has to be here for this!"

“Kawa, I will do all that I can."

Kawa frowned as he stroked Feli's hair. "Please...wake up..."

"Should we... get Arai and Ryo?" Shiku asked his father, biting his lip nervously.

Ace sighed. "We'll have to...We don't have a choice..."

"But... they'll cause stress... and probably kill Kawa..."

Ace looked to Shiku. "Would you like to be kept out of the dark about one of your grandchildren?"

He sighed. "No..."

Ace nodded. "Then we'll have to let them know what's going on..."

"But they're going to freak..."

“I know...but...what's going to happen when Feli and Kawa come back with a baby?"

“Then you go tell them." Shiku sighed. "I'll stay here."

Ace nodded. "Keep an eye on them." He said before disappearing back at home.

Shiku nodded and turned back to the pair.

"I'm going to take her for surgery now... Kawa, why don't you come with me?" Oki said.

Kawa nodded. "Alright..." He breathed as he followed after Oki.

 Shiku sighed as he watched them walk away. He moved into the hallway and looked out the window. "We need to find that do--" His eyes widened. Just as he was saying it, he saw the doctor down below, looking up at him with a smirk. "H-Hey!" He smashed the window before chasing after him.
